02WHAT IS A HEAT PUMP?
Smarter Heat.Remarkably Less Energy.
An air-source heat pump moves heat instead of making it. A refrigerant absorbs heat from the surrounding air, a compressor raises its temperature, and a heat exchanger passes that heat to your water. An electric heater turns each unit of electricity into one unit of heat; a heat pump delivers several units of heat for each unit it uses.
Rudhra Solar heat pumps come in domestic and commercial ranges and work with insulated storage, so hot water is ready when you need it.
Higher efficiency
Rated COP of 3.8 to 4.06 across the range: about 4 units of heat per unit of electricity.
Lower running costs
Less electricity for the same hot water means lower electricity bills.
Reliable hot water
Day and night, in any weather, within its rated −7 to 45 °C ambient range.

04HOW IT WORKS
Heat from Air.Delivered to Water.
- 1Absorb. A fan draws outdoor air over the evaporator, where refrigerant absorbs its heat.
- 2Compress. The compressor raises the refrigerant's pressure and temperature.
- 3Transfer. In the condenser the refrigerant releases that heat into your water.
- 4Repeat. The expansion valve lowers the pressure and the cycle starts again.
